Shalini graduated from Samuel Merritt University with Masters Physician Assistant degree and became nationally board certified in 2010.  She has since worked in different specialties involving Family Medicine, Cardiology and Hematology/Oncology; including both outpatient and inpatient settings.  Of all three specialties, she has enjoyed Family Medicine the most because she enjoys the diversity of the field, establishing long-term relationships with her patients, and the opportunity to care for patients in an acute and chronic setting.  She hopes to empower patients of all ages in helping them play an active role in leading healthy lives. She believes in spending time listening to each patient’s health concerns and providing detailed patient education about their health and proposed plan of care.  Working at Diablo Family Physicians has enabled Shalini to work together with her patients creating long-term trusting bonds and basing her medical care with kindness and compassion.  Her professional interests include preventative medicine, adolescent medicine, and women’s health.

Shalini enjoys spending time with her husband, three young children, extended family and friends, as well as exploring new places, travelling on road trips, and baking.

She is currently available for remote telemedicine video visits.
